On December 13, 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Bintan Regency participated in the Coordination Meeting for the Evaluation of the One Data Indonesia Forum at the Bintan Regency level, a forum designed to evaluate and strengthen the implementation of the One Data Indonesia policy at the local level. The event was attended by various parties involved in the One Data Indonesia Forum of Bintan Regency, including the Department of Communications and Informatics (Diskominfo) as the Data Custodian, the Regional Development Planning and Research Agency (Bappelitbangda) as the Data Secretariat, BPS as the Data Supervisor, and all Regional Government Organizations (OPD) in Bintan Regency as the Data Producers. This coordination meeting provided an important opportunity to strengthen the relationships between government agencies responsible for data management and utilization, as well as to evaluate the performance and identify the challenges and obstacles faced in implementing One Data Indonesia in Bintan Regency.
During this event, various technical and policy aspects related to data collection, processing, and distribution were discussed in depth, with the aim of ensuring that the data generated from various sectors can be interconnected, accurate, and easily accessible to all relevant stakeholders. Moreover, the meeting also provided an opportunity for members of the One Data Indonesia Forum in Bintan Regency to share experiences, solutions, and recommendations that could be applied to improve the quality and effectiveness of the local data management system. The outcome of this activity is expected to contribute positively to enhancing the capacity and quality of more integrated data at the Bintan Regency level, which in turn will support more effective, evidence-based, and responsive development planning that meets the needs of the community.
With the successful implementation of this Coordination Meeting for the Evaluation of the One Data Indonesia Forum, it is hoped that in the future, the implementation of One Data Indonesia at the Bintan Regency level will proceed more effectively, with more optimal and transparent data utilization, ultimately providing significant impact on decision-making and policy formulation that is more targeted and accurate. The success of this activity will serve as a strong foundation for the continued improvement of the data management system in Bintan Regency, ensuring that the data produced is not only accurate and up-to-date but also accessible and usable for the common good, to achieve more planned and sustainable development in the future.
