Training for SHP Officers and Briefing for Price Statistics Officers 2025

January 10, 2025 | BPS Activities

On Friday, January 10, 2025, the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Bintan Regency held an important event, namely the Producer Price Survey Training and Briefing for Price Statistics Officers for 2025. This event took place in the Agro Room at the BPS office in Bintan Regency and was attended by various parties involved in price survey implementation, including BPS partners and statistical officers. The event was officially opened by the Head of the Price Statistics Team, Afifah Rahmah Chania, S.Tr.Stat., who, in her speech, provided guidance to all participants regarding the importance of producing data that is not only accurate but also timely. She emphasized that the quality of statistical data heavily depends on the meticulousness in data collection from the field and the ability to meet the established deadlines, in order to support policy-making based on credible and reliable data.

The training was attended by 13 BPS partners serving as Field Enumeration Officers (PCL), who play a crucial role in data collection, as well as 4 organic BPS officers functioning as Field Monitoring Officers (PML). The participants were given a comprehensive understanding of the various types of price surveys that will be conducted in 2024. These surveys include the Producer Price Survey (SHP), which focuses on collecting price data from producers of goods and services, the Rural Price Survey (SHPed) that records price fluctuations in rural areas, the Wholesale Price Survey (SHPB) covering wholesale goods prices, and the Construction Cost Index Survey (SHKK), which aims to measure prices related to the construction sector.

This training aims to ensure that all parties involved in data collection can thoroughly understand the methodology and procedures used in each type of survey. It is hoped that the data collection process will run smoothly and produce accurate and relevant information for price statistics needs in Bintan Regency. This activity is also part of BPS’s ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity and quality of human resources, particularly those involved in price data collection, in order to support better development and data-driven decision-making in the future.
