Training for Field Officers of the March 2025 Susenas and 1st Quarter 2025 Seruti BPS Bintan Regency

January 24, 2025 | BPS Activities

The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Bintan Regency organized training for field officers involved in the implementation of the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the 1st Quarter 2025 Economic and Labor Survey (Seruti) from January 13 to 17, 2025 for Wave 1 and from January 20 to 23, 2025 for Wave 2.

This training was conducted in a hybrid format, consisting of three days of online learning via the Zoom platform and two days of face-to-face sessions for Wave 1, while Wave 2 included three days of online learning and one day of face-to-face training. The purpose of this training is to prepare the officers, both Field Enumeration Officers (PCL) and Field Supervisor Officers (PML), for tasks related to the collection and verification of data, which are crucial for national development.

The survey uses the Susenas Kor questionnaire, which covers various important indicators, including population, education, health, fertility and family planning, housing, information and communication technology, food insecurity, and social protection. Meanwhile, the Consumption/Expenditure Module serves as a data source for two of the four national development targets, namely the calculation of poverty levels and the Gini index. Therefore, it is essential for the officers to ensure the consistency and appropriateness of the collected data to ensure the accuracy and quality of the survey results.

A total of 52 officers, consisting of 37 PCLs and 15 PMLs, participated in this training. It is expected that through this training, the officers will make the most of this opportunity, engage actively in discussions with Regional Instructors (Inda), and gain a deep understanding to support high-quality data collection that can be relied upon to improve national development planning.
