The Ubinan Survey is one of the annual routine surveys conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), with its implementation divided into three subrounds each year. The main objective of the Ubinan Survey is to obtain accurate data on the productivity levels of rice and secondary crops, which are crucial for supporting planning and policy-making in the agricultural sector.
On February 3, 2025, BPS of Bintan Regency successfully conducted the monitoring and data collection for the Ubinan Palawija Subround 1 in the Toapaya District, with a primary focus on cassava as the commodity. This activity is part of a series of surveys carried out by BPS to monitor and collect data related to the productivity of food crops, particularly rice and secondary crops, which play a vital role in food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Indonesia. The Palawija Ubinan Survey is an important step in obtaining accurate and representative information regarding the production outcomes of these crops, which can later be used by various stakeholders to formulate targeted agricultural policies.
With the successful completion of the monitoring and data collection for the Ubinan Palawija Subround 1 in the Toapaya District, BPS of Bintan Regency aims to make a significant contribution to the mapping and development of the agricultural sector in the region. Through this activity, it is also expected to enhance public and stakeholder understanding of the importance of valid and reliable data in supporting decision-making in the fields of agriculture and food security in the future.
