• The number of foreign tourists or tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in October 2018 reached 205,765 visits, decreased 9.35 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in September 2018 was 226,980 visits. When compared to October 2017, foreign tourist visits in October 2018 actually increased, which amounted to 23.24 percent.
• Tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in January-October 2018 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 48.05 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-October 2018.
• Cumulatively, from January to October 2018 the number of foreign tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province reached 2,095,221 visits, up 23.22 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visited in the same period the previous year which totaled 1,700,349 visits.
• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Riau Islands Province in October 2018 reached an average of 57.59 percent or an increase of 0.96 points compared to the September 2018 TPK of 56.63 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in October 2018 was 1.86 days or a decrease of 0.07 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in September 2018.
