Implementation of the SHP Workshop

The Directorate of Price Statistics of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS RI) has successfully conducted the Producer Price Survey (SHP) Workshop, held online on Wednesday and Thursday, January 8-9, 2025. This event was attended by participants from various regions, including a representative from BPS Bintan Regency, who also serves as the Head of the Price Statistics Team.

The training was officially opened with remarks and guidance by the Director of Price Statistics, Mr. Windhiarso Ponco Adi P. In his address, Mr. Windhiarso emphasized the importance of a thorough understanding of the concepts and definitions, methodologies, and data collection procedures involved in the Producer Price Survey. Through this workshop, it is hoped that those responsible for Price Statistics at the district and city levels will be able to better comprehend and effectively apply the applicable principles, ensuring that the data generated is of high relevance and representativeness.

Furthermore, the goal of this event is to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the implementation of the Producer Price Survey to support the calculation of the Producer Price Index (IHP). This initiative aims to produce accurate data, ultimately improving the quality of price statistics across Indonesia. BPS RI is committed to continuing to enhance the capacity of statistical officers at the regional level to generate higher-quality data that can be relied upon for national economic planning and policy development.
