Implementation of the National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) March 2025 at the Bintan Regency BPS

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) is currently conducting the National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) for March 2025. The survey aims to gather data regarding the social and economic conditions of the population, which will be used by the government in planning and decision-making processes. The activities of the March 2025 Susenas are being carried out both at the central and regional levels, including at the BPS of Bintan Regency.

The activities for the March 2025 Susenas at the BPS of Bintan Regency began with training for the Susenas field staff, conducted alongside training for the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) staff. The staff training took place from January 13-17, 2025, for the first wave and from January 20-23, 2025, for the second wave, using a hybrid system. This training aimed to prepare the Field Enumerators (PCL) and Field Supervisors (PML) for their roles in data collection and verification for Susenas.

Following this, the activity continued with the updating of household data, which was carried out from February 1-6, 2025. This update aimed to refresh the household sample prior to the March 2025 Susenas data collection. Subsequently, the household enumeration phase will be carried out from February 8-27, 2025, where PCLs will interview selected respondents to gather information on their social and economic conditions.

BPS Bintan Regency is placing special emphasis on data quality by closely monitoring the PCLs to prevent errors and address any challenges that may arise during the enumeration process. To support this, BPS held the "Bintang Satu Pagar" (Bintugar) meetings on February 13, 20, and 27, 2025. These meetings started with a refresher on Susenas-related materials, followed by document inspections conducted by each PML.
