• The number of foreign tourists or tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in February 2018 reached 205,964 visits, an increase of 31.20 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in January 2018 was 156,986 visits. When compared with February 2017, foreign tourist visits in February 2018 also increased, which amounted to 53.15 percent.
• Foreign tourists visiting Riau Islands Province in January-February 2018 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 44.03 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-February 2018.
• Cumulatively, from January to February 2018 the number of foreign tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province reached 362,950 visits, up 15.11 percent compared to the number of foreign tourist visits in the same period the previous year which amounted to 315,301 visits.
• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Riau Islands Province in February 2018 reached an average of 58.78 percent or an increase of 9.79 points compared to January 2018's TPK of 48.99 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in February 2018 was 1.96 days, or down 0.19 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in January 2018.
