• The number of foreign tourists or tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in March 2018 reached 234,156 visits, an increase of 13.69 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in February 2018 was 205,964 visits. When compared with March 2017, foreign tourists visiting March 2018 also increased, which amounted to 35.06 percent.
• Foreign tourists visiting Riau Islands Province in January-March 2018 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 47.04 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-March 2018.
• Cumulatively, from January to March 2018 the number of foreign tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province reached 597,106 visits, up 22.19 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visited in the same period the previous year which amounted to 488,672 visits.
• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Riau Islands Province in March 2018 reached an average of 55.61 percent or a decrease of 3.17 points compared to February 2018 TPK of 58.78 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in March 2018 was 2.01 days, up 0.05 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in February 2018.
