Abstract

Human development achievements in Bintan Regency during the 2014-2021 period continue to progress. The Bintan Regency HDI increased from 71.65 in 2014 to 74.57 in 2021. During this period, the Bintan Regency HDI grew by an average of 0.56 percent per year. Meanwhile, in the period 2020 to 2021, the Bintan Regency HDI grew by 0.59 percent. Growth during this period increased, compared to the previous period which experienced growth of only 0.2 percent. During the period 2014 to 2021 the HDI for Bintan Regency shows a development status that is in the "high" category. When compared with other districts, the HDI of Bintan Regency is always in the top third position out of seven regencies/cities in the Riau Archipelago Province.
