• The number of foreign tourists or tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in November 2017 reached 168,113 visits, an increase of 3.92 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in October 2017 was 161,770 visits. When compared with November 2016, foreign tourists visiting November 2017 experienced an increase, which amounted to 18.35 percent.
• Tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province in January-November 2017 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 49.91 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-November 2017.
• Cumulatively, January-November 2017, the number of foreign tourists visiting the Riau Islands Province reached 1,815,978 visits, up 6.29 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visited in the same period of the previous year which amounted to 1,708,500 visits.
• The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Riau Islands Province in November 2017 reached an average of 58.35 percent or an increase of 4.85 points compared to the October 2017 TPK of 53.50 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in Riau Islands Province in November 2017 was 1.91 days, down 0.26 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in October 2017.
