The Development of Tourism in Bintan Regency, March 2025

The number of international tourist (foreign visitor) arrivals in Bintan Regency during March 2025 was recorded at 17,619 visits, marking an increase of 79.51 percent compared to the previous month. These foreign visitors were predominantly from Singapore, with 9,489 visits or approximately 53.86 percent of the total number of international tourists visiting the region.

The number of domestic tourist (local visitor) trips to Bintan from January to March 2025 increased by 26.83 percent compared to the same period in 2024 (year-on-year), rising from 115,215 trips to 146,129 trips.

The average Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (HROR) for star-rated hotels in Bintan Regency in March 2025 was 23.14 percent, an increase of 1.64 percentage points compared to February 2025, which was recorded at 21.50 percent.
